Whatever has brought you to this moment, the most important thing is that you are here. This shows that you are already on the right path, making a conscious decision to take back control of your life and your self. By choosing to seek a new direction, you’ve recognised that taking responsibility for your life is essential — because no one else will do it for you. Waiting for external circumstances to shift is merely an illusion and a form of procrastination. The fact that you are seeking guidance and information is a testament to your commitment, strength, and courage. Seeking support is about resisting the urge to give up, and I’m here to guide you as you start or start again to make the shift toward your desired life.
After taking responsibility and accountability, the next essential step is becoming (more) aware. Why is this essential? Every day, thousands of things compete for your attention, most of which you aren’t even aware of. People spend a significant portion (over 95%) of their day running on unconscious programs, on autopilot. This means that most of your thoughts, decisions, actions, beliefs, feelings, and behaviour are driven by brain activity that goes beyond your conscious awareness. These are the things you do automatically, often without thinking about how you do them or what you will do next — you simply do them.
So, it’s no surprise that when you try something new or approach things differently, you experience constant self-talk, with thoughts like: “It doesn’t feel right. It’s comfortable doing it the usual way. Don’t bother with anything new; it’s just a waste of time. What if something unexpected happens? I don’t have time for that. I’ll do it tomorrow. I’m not good enough. I’m not ready.” And the list goes on.
The same thing may happen when your external environment or the people around you try to talk you out of making a shift or question why you are doing all this, why you are spending your time differently, why you are saying no to the nights out or drinks.
When you experience internal distractions (self-talk) or external ones, you have a choice: let them stop you, OR learn to say no, practice awareness, expand your toolset, and make progress toward your aspirations and desired life each day. This blog post offers valuable tools and insights to help you begin making progress. For comprehensive, step-by-step guidance, you may want to explore the Essential Package.

After watching your free session and gaining clarity, you can continue exploring the following awareness techniques:
Incorporating meditation or yoga nidra into your daily routine – especially in the morning or before sleep – can help you minimise or eliminate distractions, both external and internal (such as self-talk and limiting disempowering thoughts, concepts).
Important: Do not practice relaxation or meditation techniques while driving, operating equipment or machinery, being in water, or performing any task that requires your attention.
How does it work?
As discussed in your free session of the Essential Package: where your attention and focus go, that’s where your energy flows. By cultivating a deeper sense of calm, peace, and inner spaciousness, you create an environment where you can consistently progress toward your goals. Meditation and yoga nidra can help bring unconscious limiting beliefs, thoughts, behaviours and emotions into your conscious awareness. By recognising these patterns, you can address them directly rather than letting them unconsciously influence your actions and hold you back.
Consistent practice trains your mind to stay present and focused, reducing distractions and enabling you to concentrate more effectively on your self and your goals. These practices also help you shift from dwelling on the past to fully enjoying and appreciating the present moment.
Starting with a guided version provides structured support to deepen your presence and awareness. To fully align with the content, consider watching and listening to the practice first, without allowing yourself to get too relaxed, so you can maximise the benefits. You can also listen to the meditation practice I recorded for you, or begin with the relaxation session.
For comprehensive guidance on how these practices can support your journey and unlock their full potential, you can explore the Essential Package.
These mini practices for cultivating awareness only take 10-20 seconds to a few minutes, so you can’t say you don’t have the time. In the beginning, it may help to set a few reminders on your phone or gadget until it becomes your new habit.
How to do it?
You can practice in a variety of ways:
The more you practice, the better you become. Once you are present, you will not stay there — you will need to remind yourself and practice it. The more aware you become, the longer you will remain in the present moment with awareness.
Before you come up with thousand excuses for “why you can’t make a shift”, let me tell you that it’s not about age (how old or young you are). There are countless other reasons you might use to convince yourself that change is impossible or too difficult. The truth is, it’s about developing the self-discipline and showing up consistently for yourself each and every day.
If you think there is any risk in starting or starting again to shift toward your aspirations, ask yourself: “Why do I think there is any risk? Why not do it?”. You will realise that it is just an excuse, an illusion you have created, and the only risk is not starting your journey at all. Moreover, if you think there is much to sacrifice, remember that what you are actually giving up is stress, sadness, worry, fear, depression, hopelessness, and disempowering, negative and limiting thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviours that hold you back.
The journey is a step-by-step progress. The more you progress, the more you will realise that everything that is now big started small. Whatever your aspirations are, they may seem far away at this moment; however, the more steps you take, the closer you will get every time. Every step you take is a choice to make that shift, and it will have a domino effect, with one small event or action triggering a chain of similar or related events. Ultimately, this momentum will lead you to the life you’ve always desired.
As you move forward, you will find that the journey isn’t about searching for something outside yourself. It is about recognising that everything you seek has always been within you. The key is to shift your perspective to identify and let go of the barriers (what you might call the ego, your “old self,” a surface persona, or conceptual habitual patterns) that have been holding you back and keeping your true essence hidden.
